3 Tips to stay positive

Many people don’t see how I can still be positive with my injuries and what happened to me. I say, how could I not be happy and positive? I am alive, healthy, and I have my family- the one I started  when I was married and the one I’ve always had.   Well let me tell you a few of my tips to how I keep myself happy.

  1. Make a list for your day. – Something that you can check off I find that that makes me feel more complete. In college on days that I didn’t have class I wrote down every little thing I had to do to get ready for my day. Like shower check brush teeth check get dressed check check. paint nails check. I wrote a list because writing things down helped me remember stuff  that I want to remember. So even tho I did this every morning  If I had to  check it off the list it was just better for me. Doing this allowed me to feel like I accomplished something for my day rather than not doing anything at all
  2. Think to yourself – Things ALWAYS could be much worse.  I think of people who are in Africa or some 3rd world country  that don’t have food. That would be the worst to me. ( can you tell I like food?)
  3. Take a walk outside-I am 31, I don’t drive, I can drive, I have my license, I just have to have a spinner knob on the car and I am afraid to drive as well. I mean I don’t know how you can go through an experience like I did and not be scared to drive. Not knowing what will happen and I don’t want to get in another car accident with my son in the car. Instead of me complaining about it to everyone, I choose to put my son in a stroller and take him on a walk everyday. For his sanity and my sanity. I find that if I leave the house at least once a day morning or afternoon I  get enough vitamin D that makes me happy. I have awesome friends who will  offer to take me and Liam places with them. I don’t do it a lot because I feel bad. I can’t really help,  because of my limited mobility, when it comes to putting my baby’s car seat into their car. So Me and Liam just use the stroller go the 3 main places everyday. The corner store down the street, the grocery store across the street or the gym across the street.
